Driving Examiners to Strike Other news 2 December 20226 December 2022 Motorcycle tests could be hit by planned strikes by driving examiners over the winter. Some members of the members of the Public and Commercial Services Union have voted to support strike action, including picketing of test centres, which could affect motorcycle practical tests. The action will only affect certain parts of the country at different times, between 13th December 2022 and 10th January 2023. The north east and Scotland will be the first affected (13th-18th December), with test centres following in north west England, Yorkshire and Humberside (19th-24th December); East of England, East & West Midlands (28th-31st December, 3rd January); and London, the south east, south west and Wales (4th-10th January). BMF Chair Jim Freeman said: “Another barrier to riders wanting to gain licences, luckily not a particularly serious one, as the strike action seems mostly over the Christmas holiday period, I wonder why?” Written by Peter Henshaw Top image courtesy of Gov.UK Share on Facebook Share Share on TwitterTweet Share on Pinterest Share Share on LinkedIn Share Share on Digg Share
