The BMF Attends the Launch of the 2027 FIM International Six Days Enduro of Nations BMF News 7 July 20267 July 2026 Earlier today, (July 7th 2026) Anna Zee, BMF Political and Technical Services Director and Paul Morgan CBE, BMF’s Government Relations Director, attended a high-level reception and launch event organised by Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and the Auto Cycle Union (ACU). The event was hosted by John Slinger MP at the House of Commons to mark the return to the UK in September 2027 of the FIM International Six Days Enduro of Nations (ISDE). The ISDE is being held in the UK for the first time in over 40 years and marks the 101st edition of one of the most historic and prestigious competitions in global motorsport. Around 500 riders from over 30 countries will compete across Men’s, Women’s, and Junior national trophy teams in rural Wales to celebrate over a century of international sporting excellence since the ISDE emerged from the original Scottish Sic Days Trial, first held in 1909, which paved the way for the inaugural International Six Days Trial in 1913. John Slinger MP who hosted today’s ISDE launch making the opening speech Craig Carey-Clinch Executive Director National Motorcyclists Council speaking at today’s ISDE launch emphasising the benefits of motorcycling to the UK economy Jim Freeman, Chair of the BMF said: “ The BMF is proud and honoured to support today’s launch event, which marks the start of the countdown to the ISDE in September 2027. This is set to be one of the most significant events in the 2027 UK sporting calendar and reaffirms the United Kingdom’s position and long-standing history within the global motorcycle sporting arena. Today ministers and key parliamentarians came together, alongside key individuals and organisations within UK and international sport, to lend their support to the ISDE launch and demonstrate their commitment to the future of UK motorcycling. The UK’s £1 billion motorcycle sports sector forms an important part of a wider £7 billion UK motorcycling industry that needs government support to maintain its leading position on the world stage. The return of the ISDE to the UK after a 40 year absence is not only good news for motorcycling, but will also deliver an estimated £20-£20 million economic boost for local Welsh enterprises, tourism operators and regional supply chains. FIM and the ACU are to be commended on their successful efforts to bring the ISDE back to these shores for 2027; back to where it first began all those years ago.” Written by Paul Morgan CBE All images courtesy of Paul Morgan CBE Logo courtesy of ISDE Wales (GB) 2027 Share on Facebook Share Share on TwitterTweet Share on Pinterest Share Share on LinkedIn Share Share on Digg Share
