Remember the Adventure Travel Film Festival? It ran for over a decade, showing a weekend of travel films at various sites in the UK, ostensibly about all forms of travel but often focusing on bikes. The last ATFF was held in 2023, but now a successor is close to launching, and it will concentrate solely on motorcycle travel.

The Adventure Motorcycle Film Festival will debut on 28th February 2026 at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal, Cumbria. Sponsored by gear specialists Adventure Spec, the one-day festival has been organised by podcasters Clive Barber (Trail and Adventure Motorbike Podcast) and Simon Josey (Reel Riders Podcast).

Barber told MCN there were would eight to ten internationally-made films shown on the day, selected by a panel of judges. “It’s a real mix,” he added, “Llewellyn Sullivan-Pavey’s already submitted something, and we’ve had entries from Danny Lilwall and filmmakers in the US.” The organisers are still open to submissions from anywhere in the world, and are offering prizes for the best films in four categories.

The Adventure Motorcycle Film Festival will run from 2pm to 11pm, with tickets at £22 giving access to all screenings in the Brewery Centre’s 260-seat cinema.

Jim Freeman, chair of the BMF welcomed this new opportunity to see bikes hit the silver screen. “Perfect timing and a jolly good price, good luck to the AMFF, let’s hope they get a full list of venues worked up.”
