BMF at The Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show BMF News 12 October 202630 October 2026 **Staffordshire County Showground | 10–11 October 2026** The British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF) attended The Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show, sponsored by Carole Nash, at Staffordshire County Showground on 10–11 October 2026. The BMF was invited to attend alongside Mary Lomas of Fletchers Solicitors and Mental Health Motorbike, with the team based in the main hall alongside Fletchers, the BMF’s legal partner providing the **dedicated BMF Legal Line** for members. The weekend provided an opportunity to engage with riders, welcome new members and reconnect with long-standing members, while highlighting the Federation’s work to represent and support motorcyclists. Membership and Rider Support Peter Laidlaw, the BMF’s Membership Services and Events Director, reported that the team remained busy throughout the weekend, signing up new members, answering questions and distributing the BMF’s emergency helmet identification tags. Visitors were also given information about the Federation’s work and membership benefits, including the **Blue Riband Advanced Rider Award** and the resources available through the BMF website. The presence of Fletchers Solicitors provided an opportunity to highlight the BMF Legal Line, while Mental Health Motorbike’s involvement drew attention to the importance of mental health support within the motorcycling community. The BMF thanks its long-standing members who visited the stand, as well as everyone who took the time to learn more about the Federation and its work. The Show and Industry Connections The show featured a revised layout, talks from racing personalities and motocross demonstrations in the outdoor arena. Peter noted that the event introduced new features, although some areas appeared sparse in terms of smaller trade stands. With the team busy engaging with visitors, there was limited opportunity to watch the wider programme. Nevertheless, the event provided opportunities to connect with riders, club representatives, traders and other contacts from across the motorcycling community. Supporting the BMF Fighting Fund The BMF would like to thank Fletchers Solicitors for its continued support and everyone who made cash donations to the **BMF Fighting Fund** during the weekend. These contributions help support the Federation’s work on behalf of motorcyclists. Next Stop: Museum LIVE 2026 The BMF’s final event with a stand this year will be **Museum LIVE at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull on 24–25 October 2026**. The event will bring together motorcycle enthusiasts for a weekend of guest appearances, live demonstrations, trade stands and access to the museum’s collection. The BMF team will be available to discuss membership and the Federation’s work representing riders.
