Suzuki Offers 10 Year Warranty Other news 25 November 2025 Suzuki GB has announced an ‘up to ten-year warranty’ cover on all of its new bikes. Not only that, but the cover will be transferrable to subsequent owners, so effectively it will apply to 2026-on used machines as well. When the standard three-year/unlimited mileage warranty is over, the bike will be covered for an extra seven years or 70,000 miles, whichever comes up first. The only stipulation is that it must be serviced at a Suzuki dealer every year, but even that has a loophole – if a used bike has a gap of more than 250 miles or 14 days in its service history, the warranty may be reinstated, if the machine is then serviced and gets a health check at a Suzuki dealer. However, exclusions include cosmetic parts, oil leaks due to a seal or gasket failure, or burnt or sticking valves, as well as the usual consumable parts. This ‘up to 10-year’ warranty replaces Suzuki’s current ‘up to seven-year’ deal, and reflects the trend among motorcycle manufacturers to follow the car makers in offering longer warranties, tied to dealer servicing. “Offering an ‘up to 10-year’ warranty was a logical step for us,” said Suzuki GB Customer Retention Manager Jacob Lewis. “We know the rigorous levels of testing and development our motorcycles are subjected to, which is why we have the confidence we do in their reliability and performance.” At the BMF, chair Jim Freeman welcomed the move. “ On paper it sounds great, but dealer servicing for 10years? The exclusions are interesting, how about electrical failures or cam chain problems? We’ll see.” Read more on the Suzuki website here Warranty information here Written by Peter Henshaw Top image courtesy of Suzuki UK Share on Facebook Share Share on TwitterTweet Share on Pinterest Share Share on LinkedIn Share Share on Digg Share
