Welcome to the team MJ LadyBiker… BMF News 31 August 202529 August 2025 Who is MJ Ladybiker? MJ LadyBiker is a passionate UK motorcyclist with eight years’ riding experience, currently riding a Suzuki Gladius 650cc and has a deep commitment to the biking community and charitable causes, consistently supporting local events, not just during her time with the Staffs Lady Bikers but continuously appearing somewhere, supporting someone and always with a smile! MJ volunteered for five years as a team leader with the Staffordshire County Council ‘Think Bike’ campaign also helping to establish the Staffs Lady Bikers group. She actively supports events such as the Women in Moto show, the Stephen Sutton Ride Out, the Bike4Life Fest, and many more in and around Staffordshire. Just before stepping down from her volunteer role at Think Bike earlier this year, MJ took on an ambassador role for the Bike and Brew Passport Event with Make your MARK Charity (Motorbiker Acts of Random Kindness), where she continues to promote kindness and community within the riding world. Following her time with Think Bike and MARK, MJ accepted a part-time role with the British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF), furthering her involvement in the motorcycling community. MJ has faced significant health challenges, including arthritis in her lower spine and both knees, alongside severe menopausal symptoms the last few years where her health declined to the point she feared becoming wheelchair-bound. This gave her a profound understanding of the importance of specialist equipment during vulnerable times as well as the frustration when such support is unavailable or misunderstood. Despite ongoing health issues, MJ is determined to help others. She will willingly endure temporary discomfort to support Brendan—a remarkable young man living with quadriplegic cerebral palsy and scoliosis who desperately needs specialist equipment to improve his quality of life. Knowing her own discomfort is brief compared to Brendan’s lifelong challenges fuels her commitment #ride4brendan MJ is also developing Women on Wheels, an initiative designed to support women new to motorcycling and those wishing to expand into all other areas such as marshalling, racing, camping trips, ride outs, etc Her journey is one of resilience, compassion, and building a supportive network for riders of all ages and abilities—especially women. We cannot wait to spend more time with ‘our MJ’ If you want to get in touch with MJ please email her at max@bmf.co.uk Happy riding everyone!!!
